Sadr Majlis Ansarullah

A Message from Sadr Majlis

My dear brothers,
Assalamu alaikum wa Rahmatullah,

We prioritize everything in life. So in order to develop Majlis Ansarullah, USA’s priorities for the year 2014, I went to seek Hazrat Khalifatul Masih V’s (may Allah be is helper) directives. Based on Huzoor’s comments during our January 5th, 2014 meeting, the Majlis has delineated the following priority focus areas for 2014.

1. Strengthening Families and Brotherhood

Huzoor asked me to make the Qur’anic injunction, “O ye who believe! save yourselves and your families from a Fire” (The Holy Qur’an, 66 [Al-Tahrim]:7) as the theme of the year. Our monthly meeting topics will be identifying those cultural fires from which we should protect ourselves; and our workshops and Ijtima‘at will educate members on ways to protect our families from these fires by means of impromptu speeches and workshops. We aim to increase the nationwide collective attendance of our monthly meeting from mid 600s to a 1000.

2. Providing Service

Huzoor reiterated that our slogan should be “We are the helpers of Allah.” In order to “live” this slogan, Majlis Ansarullah, USA will be launching programs to provide various services such as medical services to members who do not have health insurance, scholarships for students, entry level jobs for members, copies of DVDs for Tabligh, parenting tips for the families, and the like.

3. Communications

Huzoor asked us to rely on shorter, more effective communications. Thus we will be launching a biweekly e-newsletter - Ansar Connection, revamping the website design - that you are witnessing, and strengthening our in-person communications by making the monthly meeting topics more relevant and interactive. Many of you have already sent us very positive feedback regarding these interventions.

4. National Ijtima

Based on the recommendations of Majlis Shura of Majlis Ansarullah, USA in recent years, our goal is to inspire over 1,000 Ansar members to attend National Ijtima 2014. At the Ansar Leadership Conference—held on January 18-19, 2014 in Dallas—we held an open session to identify the barriers which preclude members from attending National Ijtima. Rest assured, we will try and remove as many of those barriers as Allah allows us to.

A day prior to my meeting, during the Friday sermon on January 3rd, 2014, Huzoor reminded us to serve the Jama'at with humility, hard work, and prayers. It is time for us to get to work now. You do not need to be an office holder to support us in implementing these priorities. I request you to read them carefully and let us know which specific areas inspire you to say, “I am the helper of Allah.”

Wasalaam,
